Col Denise Loring, USA (Ret)
Chief Operations Officer
Denise retired after 29+ years in the Army working as a logistician. She is focused on fundraising and equipment donations for the hunting/fishing/shooting events, which is available to wounded/injured/ill veterans through Camp Valor Outdoors. She provides outreach for veterans and grass root exposure to inform local communities of what is available through CVO.
Denise brings competitive rifle experience to the team for high power rifle, small-bore, and air rifle. She fired with the United States Army Marksmanship Unit for two tours of duty with International Rifle. She fired as a member of the United States Army Reserve Team for International Rifle, Combat, and Service Rifle. Upon retirement she fired one year with the VA State High Power Rifle Team before being recruited to serve with Camp Valor Outdoors.
She provides coaching to veteran shooters coming on the team and continues to compete at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
Shooting Sports Program Director
Dan Duitsman has served 17 years in the Marine Corps as an infantryman. During his time in the Marine Corps, Dan has also served with the shooting team in which he has attended and competed in numerous local, state, regional, and National Rifle Championship matches. Dan now uses his experience to instruct and coach veterans on competitive shooting as a means of therapy for our warriors with Camp Valor Outdoors as well as the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) air rifle/pistol team.
